Life at the Morton's house is always interesting. We usually always have someone at our house. Yesterday, Christina and I woke up early and went to our friends house at 6 in the morning while her parents went to Kampala for the day. She was left with her little brother and sister. So we were with them until their worker came. Then we headed back home and did some school and Auntie Olivia, the lady who is working for us right now came to work. At 9:00 we went to gym class with Aunt Chrissy. We played kickball (girls against boys + 2 toddlers) until 9:30 and then headed back to continue doing school. At lunch time, Ivan, a boy in our family group had to ask my dad a question and then Uncle Steve, a very happy and loud English man who is running the Investment Year Program came to ask if we could use this house for IY training next week (we said yes :) ). Of course, he had a little visit and then by that time we were done lunch, did a little bit more school and then headed over to our neighbours house to babysit Eva, our very cute, little neighbour while her mom and dad went to a meeting. In typical fashion, the man they were having the meeting with, borrowed the car we are using and hadn't returned yet so the meeting wasn't going to happen. While we were at Eva's house Margret, a girl from our family group came over to watch a Little House episode. Julia also came by and finished the Little House episode with her. Kara, one of my friends came over as well as Hadassah and her little siblings Gabe and Sonya. My mom left for staff fellowship The movie ended and it was going to start to rain so Margret headed back to her home with my mom. Gabe wanted to go home so Hadassah and Sonya left too. I needed to find a recipe for dinner so Kara and I left Julia and Christina on a recipe hunt. Unfortunately, there was no Internet anywhere so we couldn't look it up. When we gave up we went back to our house and played doctor with Julia, made tortillas and read a book with Julia. We were going to keep Hadassah company until her mom and dad came home from Kampala but as we were going over, her mom and dad drove up with Hadassah's new teacher. So we all went and met them and then we headed back home to start dinner and Kara left to her house. Julia was still with us and we made black beans, Spanish rice, and tortillas for dinner. Aunt Andrea came by with Eva to put something in our freezer  and Eva decided that she wanted to stay and play so she was here until 6 and then we walked Julia home to her house and Eva stayed and played and helped us make tortillas. At 6:15 Eva wanted to go back home so I took her home, came back finished helping with dinner. My mom and dad came back from staff fellowship and then we ate dinner and had a quiet evening. Oh, and you should probably know that most Wednesdays are like this! One word summary- BUSY!!!
