Lightning Strikes

On Saturday night or Sunday morning in Wacyamba (a village about 10-15 min drive away from New Hope) a jajja of the teacher here was electrocuted, and at the same time another 14-year old boy went to turn off the electricity at his house with wet hands and also died. There was a fire in a building caused by a lightning strick or a power surge and an old man died in it! Apparently those 3 people all go to the Compassion church in Wacyamba. The burial for the teacher at New Hopes jajja was yesterday so a lot of people went. On Sunday evening we had huge, dark clouds coming toward our house so we hurried home (we were out at the time) and when we got home it began get darker. Christina and I were going to babysit Eva (our almost 1 year old neighbour) so as we were walking over there was a huge flash of lightning and a millisecond later there was a HUGE HUGE thunder crack that sounded like a gunshot! It was insane and kind of scary considering all the people who have died recently. Then today we heard that with the lightning it seemed to hit the small gate after David Family heading out to secondary. Aunt Hannah and Peace saw the gate light up and then when Peace walked through it she heard the gate crackling!! Please pray for everyones safety as it is the raining seasosn and there have been many thunderstorms.
